That’s the proper way to pronounce my name. People rarely get it right. I was going to start this out with the typical obnoxious commentary-“I’m really not that important”, “I’m unfiltered”, “I’m saying what you’re too afraid to say,” blah blah blah. The truth is I just finished watching the TV series Party of Five on my iPad and I realized everything I needed to know about pursing my passion I could have learned from Julia. It’s a depressing revelation. (I’ve resorted to watching tv shows of my youth as a welcomed break from current television programming. I suppose if I was diligent I would focus on my writing but alas my brain needs time to veg).

I’m a writer. I always have been. I was simply too young to realize I had talent. So now I’m working a regular job which I don’t hate but also doesn’t inspire me.

Other Side of the Wall is intended to be a literary commentary on my life and the challenges I (and my family) face as a parent of a child with special needs.  More importantly, I am a parent of a child fighting pediatric brain cancer. It’s a version of life I found myself living one day with no effort of my own. My passion for writing has merged with my desire to tell people our story. I think like me, so many of us in this “special” club are asking  this one question: DOES ANYBODY OUT THERE SEE WHAT’S HAPPENING OVER HERE ON THIS SIDE OF THE WALL? This is a candid view into my version of the story.

And who knows, I may even finish those books I’ve been writing…

If you like what you read I would love to hear from you.

I am your number one fan! I will read whatever you write. I had the opportunity to read an excerpt from one of your books and I can’t wait to read the other 10 Chapters. Girl you have talent…..you will spread your wings one day and share your inspiration with the world.

Samantha found your site and showed it to me. You have a real gift. You have said what is in my heart and head. It is good not to be alone on the other side of the wall. I think you should finish your book and help people see “what’s happening over here on this side of the wall”. Stay strong and take care.

Your writing is beautiful- you really should quit your day job 😉
I’m so sorry I missed you and Obi when you came to visit! Sarah gave me my card and shirt, thank you very much. It is always extra special to be reminded of being appreciated by a special family. We all loved Big Nick so much. I think about him all the time and smile.
Give my best to Obi and Austin too ❤
